WHAT DO I NEED TO FILE A LIEN?​

IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED A VEHICLE OR VESSEL WITHOUT A TITLE

OR HAVE AN ABANDONED VEHICLE, YOU CANNOT FILE A MEHANIC'S LIEN!

​UPDATES

Per Maryland Commercial Law Section § 16-203, if you wish to collect on the storage you’re currently charging, you must send a Notice of Intent to Lien (NOI) when you take possession of the vehicle. If the Notice of Intent to Lien (NOI) is not sent your storage will be reduced to $300 per year. Please call our offices with any questions or concerns you may have. • YOUR BUSINESS MUST BE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE STATE OF MARYLAND. 

• YOU MUST BE IN POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE.

• THE INVOICE MUST BE 30 DAYS PAST DUE, AND MUST BE FOR REPAIRS.
   

If filing a lien on a vehicle or trailer, Please take One picture of the:

VIN, the vehicle and have a digital copy of your repair order ready to attach to the online form.
